2019 Year-in-review

Over 100 visitors turned up at our Soft Launch in September 2019, where we showcased our SLICE vision to potential collaborators and food enthusiasts. Many enjoyed our special Jurong Kaya, made with pandan leaves from the Jurong Eco Garden backyard (and lotsa love) by our low-vision chefs from Fortitude Culina.

We also showed up in style at Slingshot 2019 – one of Asia’s most highly-anticipated startup pitching competition – with our very own Sustainable Sling (no, it’s neither a sling bag nor a weapon). In an effort to combat food waste, we joined forces with Binjai Brew to create a tropical beer cocktail out of waste fruit pulp sourced from local bars. #gettingto30by30
